Marines: When I watched The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, a 2017 Amazon Prime Original, it was the first time in a very long time that I just sat down and enjoyed a television show– one I picked up just for myself and with no plans to discuss, review or recap.
I came across Mrs. Maisel primarily because Sam (Democracy Diva) was gushing about it on Twitter. And so, when I asked Sweeney to watch this and talk about it with me (because lol at me thinking I could watch something and not talk about it), Sam was the natural choice to join us. In addition to being a current Game of Thrones recapper and our resident ASOIAF expert, Sam’s also lent us her snark, legal knowledge and fashion expertise for Veronica Mars, Dawson’s Creek, and even Spice World. Plus, she’s got her own phenomenal fashion blog that is truly the only thing I look forward to during awards season.
We all loved Mrs. Maisel, despite our quibbles and universal hatred for one character, and it made this conversation between long-time friends a joy to have.
