Snark Squad Pod #016 – Antiheroes with Samantha Lane

Previously: Impressive fights and lots of neon won us over hard.

Marines: This post is going up a little late because of travel! Very on brand for your friendly, neighborhood Snark Ladies. Sweeney and I were in California together this past extended weekend, which means we got to toast to Snark Squad’s 7th birthday IRL. Of course, it also means that we are behind on all the things. We’re also very tired, something you might be able to pick up on in the first few seconds of the podcast, when we cop out of our own self-referential joke.

I hope you’ll forgive us as we present to you our next episode, all about antiheroes, but also about anti-villains and redemption arcs because of course. We welcome Samantha Lane from the YouTube channel Thoughts on Tomes back for another episode. She’s my partner in all things BookNet Fest and we attend a lot of events together, so we’ve had this conversation a few times. She was a natural choice to bring her thoughtful takes on things morally gray.

I'm a 30-something south Floridan who loves the beach but cannot swim. Such is my life, full of small contradictions and little trivialities. My main life goals are never to take life too seriously, but to do everything I attempt seriously well. After that, my life goals devolve into things like not wearing pants and eating all of the Zebra Cakes in the world. THE WORLD.
