Snark Squad Pod #057 – Romantic Comedies

Previously: We gushed about The Good Place

Sweeney: I am a sucker for a good romcom, so if I’m being honest, this episode was mostly just a very good excuse to spend a weekend watching a bunch of them.

Before we get to the episode, though, we have an announcement: we are doing another #snarkathon! We are watching Beastly, the 2011 film adaptation of a book that was, itself, a modernization of Beauty & the Beast. It’s not a great movie, friends, but I think it’ll be a fun one to watch as a group. Join us this Saturday, February 16th at 12:00pm ET to watch and tweet and be merry.

With that out of the way, it is podcast time! We are joined for this delightful conversation by two of Mari’s booktube friends – yes I made a bunch of book people sit around and talk movies with me – Connor O’Brien who you should follow on Twitter and YouTube, and returning friend of the podcast, Samantha Lane from Thoughts on Tomes.

Nicole Sweeney

Nicole is the co-captain of Snark Squad and these days she spends most of her time editing podcasts. She spends too much time on Twitter and very occasionally vlogs and blogs. In her day job she's a producer, editor, director, and sometimes host of educational YouTube channels. She loves travel, maps, panda gifs, and semicolons. Writing biographies stresses her out; she crowd sourced this one years ago and has been using a version of it ever since. She would like to thank Twitter for their help.
