Snark Squad Pod #063 – A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms by George R. R. Martin

Previously: We finally got current with the Marvel Cinematic Universe!

Sweeney: I dragged my heels the whole way through the five A Song of Ice & Fire novels but then we finished and we still had many months before it was time for Game of Thrones to return and the next thing I knew I was scheduling an episode on the three Dunk & Egg prequel novellas because I’m now trash for this universe.

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is the collected version of 3 prequel novellas ostensibly about two characters named Dunk & Egg as they travel around the seven kingdoms but the actual point of the book is to be a dumping ground for backstory.  Once again we’ve got Snark Lady and friend Democracy Diva back to help us make sense of everything. Sam helps us recap Game of Thrones on this here website and also runs her a blog of her own, perfect for anyone who loves snark and fashion.

Nicole Sweeney

Nicole is the co-captain of Snark Squad and these days she spends most of her time editing podcasts. She spends too much time on Twitter and very occasionally vlogs and blogs. In her day job she's a producer, editor, director, and sometimes host of educational YouTube channels. She loves travel, maps, panda gifs, and semicolons. Writing biographies stresses her out; she crowd sourced this one years ago and has been using a version of it ever since. She would like to thank Twitter for their help.
