Snark Squad Pod #066 – Slayer by Kiersten White

Previously: We covered one of  Nicole’s all-time faves, The Golden Compass, and had feelings for days.

Marines: Five years ago, we finished recapping the last episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Listen, I don’t mean to have these emotions every time we do something even remotely Buffy related, but that was such a huge project, one that inspired a lot of feelings for us and helped build Snark Squad into what it is today. Once we were done, it was hard to imagine when we would ever revisit that series, if ever. Since then, we’ve dabbled– first with some Halloween episodes and today with Slayer by Kiersten White.

We invited my great friend Sam back to talk with us once again about Buffy by way of this new iteration. Sam runs the channel Thoughts on Tomes and is the co-creator of BookNet Fest. You can also find her having feelings about media over on her Twitter.

How did it feel to be back in the Buffyverse and did we like this story?

I'm a 30-something south Floridan who loves the beach but cannot swim. Such is my life, full of small contradictions and little trivialities. My main life goals are never to take life too seriously, but to do everything I attempt seriously well. After that, my life goals devolve into things like not wearing pants and eating all of the Zebra Cakes in the world. THE WORLD.
