Sweeney: Merry Christmas to those who celebrate it! This is a very special episode not because it has anything whatsoever to do with Christmas (although we have historically skipped posting on holidays, but we are determined to have episode 100 come out on January 1st, so HERE WE ARE) but because it’s both the final Snark Squad Pod of 2019 and the final episode in which two adult women who are very into pop culture but somehow entirely missed Star Wars FINISH A STAR WARS TRILOGY. This is it. The final episode of the current trilogy and, in theory, the moment at which we are free to maybe go back and check out some of the many hours of other content we missed the boat on.
Joining us to have this conversation is our Cooler Than Homework co-host and one of my most Star Wars obsessed friends, Matthew Gaydos. As we mention in this episode, Matt and I were both at Disneyland this summer with a group of friends, and our group went directly to Galaxy’s Edge, but while the rest of us left after about an hour (tbh I was over it sooner than that) Matt decided to spend his entire Disney Day there to maximize his experience (he is, as his participation in Cooler Than Homework might have indicated, a big Disney fan as well, so this was a big fandom moment for him).
Check out this week’s episode to hear our verdict on this movie & whether we have now been converted to Star Wars fans:
