Cooler Than Homework #024 – The Ultimate Christmas Present & Santa Traditions

Previously: A movie theater chain desperately needed HR.

Sweeney: I almost feel bad for how eager I am to brush past this movie, which is the last movie of the year 2000, and also the last movie before a hot streak of big nostalgia movies for yours truly. Fortunately for me, this movie is kind of forgettable. Less forgettable: talking to my friends about toys and Santa.

If you are here on this page you are likely looking for one of the two visual things we discuss in this episode – adorable baby Ceri & her castle or our ranking spreadsheet, so you can check those out below. (Or if this is where you happen to go to listen to this podcast normally, well, you’re a step ahead!)

(Now that I have decided to include the spreadsheet in every single post I just do not have the energy to also clean it up. This is the HTML export directly from Google Sheets. Also, a nerdy point of clarification: we all have our own sheet that lists the movies and then the master sheet has a formula to grab the row number which is why we always talk about dragging the movies up and down – we are legit grabbing the cell row and moving it.)

Nicole is the co-captain of Snark Squad and these days she spends most of her time editing podcasts. She spends too much time on Twitter and very occasionally vlogs and blogs. In her day job she's a producer, editor, director, and sometimes host of educational YouTube channels. She loves travel, maps, panda gifs, and semicolons. Writing biographies stresses her out; she crowd sourced this one years ago and has been using a version of it ever since. She would like to thank Twitter for their help.
