At the beginning of this video, I reference the epic struggle through which this came about. Sorry guys. My personal laptop quit on me, so I’ve been using my work...
DAY LATE. SORRY, SORRY. This video was a beast to edit and I will never ever make another one of these without taking some sort of notes beforehand. Most of...
LONG VIDEO IS LONG. I’M SORRY. I tried to cut this down as much as I could. There are so. many. things. that I didn’t get to in this video, which...
The things we cut from these videos are often as important as what we leave in. For instance, I cut out a lengthier rant about John Hughes movies, a piece about how I never watched teen movies and thought, "yes! That's how high school is for me," and clarification that yes, my sister did buy her first movie in 2001, because we've never, ever been big movie owners. To this day, I own a handful if that.
Lastly, making these things makes me acutely aware of my own speech patterns and habits, like my tendency to pad everything with filler words like, "maybe," "probably," "definitely," etc.

A couple things: (1) I failed to mention that the fact that Easy A is basically a giant PSA against slut shaming. This is important because it’s an enormous part...
This video makes me giggle because I decided to record it without my glasses but was too lazy to put my contacts on. It makes me extra squinty at points. Hilar. Additionally, in retrospect, yes, I do realize that it makes me sound rather hipster-y. What can you do?
I can't promise that I won't be squinty next video, but I do promise to not say, "amazing."

Considering that we could barely get the other posts up last week, I assume nobody was surprised that we decided to skip this. This week we are supposedly discussing music,...
Every technical difficulty ever went into the making of this video. Eventually, I will stop feeling the need to apologize before every vlog (this one is choppy in place, due to those difficulties) but I think these are the growing pains as we iron out the whole vlogging thing. That's what I like to tell myself so I don't throw my laptop across the room in a Hulk rage.
As I mention in the vlog, Sweeney and I are flip flopping days next week, as she's been traveling these last few days. That also explains why our thumbnails on the main page are all wonky. She will fix those when she gets back. (COME BACK SOON, SWEEN.)

I promise I'll start getting these under four minutes next week. I chopped off a lot of introduction stuff, so the beginning is kind of jarring, but my rambling starts with my 7-ish-year-old self. I have nothing else to say about this video, except that I would love to gush about our late '90s fansites in the comments. Also, that this dress was an unfortunate choice. Womp. I very seriously considered changing and re-recording, but the 20 minutes of babble I started with was exhausting enough the first time around.
Firstly, Segue Magic it is! I think that calls for a dance party!
Secondly, I realized I talk very little about why I love the Chronicles of Narnia series, though I do have about 20 minutes of cut material about how much Lucy Penvensie rocks, the importance of reading in the publishing order, and how much the secondary characters add to the series. So, you know, I have reasons, I promise!

Sweeney: HERE IT IS. US VLOGGING. WEEKLY. First of all, let me just say that we need an actual title. The only other series in Snark Squad Sentiments is The...
