Supernatural S03 E02 – Leave me alone, tiny Satan

We open in Cicero, Indiana where a (presumably divorced) father is dropping his daughter home. Something’s clearly got her spooked, as she runs straight to her mum—according to dad, she pitched a fit. She missed her mother and doesn’t want to stay at her dad’s any more. “He’s mean, and there are monsters there,” she complains—her mother comforts her, as we cut to the dad’s house.
Like most homeowners in this series, the dad seems to have a Basement Of Don’t Go In There, and – bonus! – it’s filled with lots of woodwork tools. This can only end well. He’s making a wooden rocking horse, which is one leg away from completion - is that for his daughter? ‘Cause if so no wonder she doesn't want to stay with him, he’s hilariously out of touch; she’s about five years too old for a rocking horse.

Supernatural S03 E01 – Seven’s the magic number

First things first, please welcome my shiny new partner in Supernatural recapping crime, Anna! I am so ridiculously thrilled that she agreed to join me, because words cannot describe how much I did NOT want to recap another seven (or more) seasons of this show alone. (But mostly because she's hilarious and adorable and spells "realise" the same way I do. #CommonwealthPower)
Anna May: HI. Not gonna lie, I did a little celebratory dance when Kirsti asked me to join her on the Supernatural recaps. All aboard the snarkmobile. Doot doot. (And +1 for non-USA spelling *side-eyes autocorrect*)

Supernatural S02 E22 – That’s not healthy

We're treated to another round of Carry On Wayward Son because obviously, then we see Sam's dead body lying on a bed, Dean standing over him. Let's just go ahead and do this, shall we?
Bobby walks in with a bucket of chicken, and tells Dean he has to eat something. Dean disagrees and swigs from a flask. Bobby suggests burying Sam, but Dean won't have a bar of it. Bobby begs for Dean's help dealing with the whole world ending thing, but Dean yells "Well, then let it end!". He's sacrificed enough and he's done. He tells Bobby to leave. Bobby sighs and heads out, telling Dean he knows where to find him. Dean looks back at Sam's corpse, a tear rolling down his cheek.

Supernatural S02 E14 – Embrace your feminine side

Dean stands next to the Bromobile by an underpass and phones Ellen in a panic. Sam's been missing for days, there's no sign of him, and Dean's freaking the fuck out because it's like Papa Winchester all over again. Ellen hasn't heard anything. Dean's phone beeps and he looks at the screen to see an incoming call from Sam. He answers, then tells Sam to calm down because he's on his way.
Crappy motel. Sam hangs up the phone and stares at his bloody knuckles. Dean Bromobiles his way to Sam. He reaches the motel and rushes to Sam's room. He panics a little when he finds blood all over Sam's shirt, but Sam assures him it's not his.

Supernatural S02 E09 – Sick and twisted

Dean pulls out a gun and walks into a room where a young blond guy is tied to a chair. The guy pleads for his life as a nurse and a tough looking guy suggest that maybe this isn't the best idea ever. Dean cocks his gun and says he has no choice. Blond Guy cries that it's not in him, but Dean has no fucks to give.
He shoots twice. The screen flashes white and fades into Sam lying on the floor of a motel. He sits up, panting, as Dean rushes to his side.
FLAME ON!

Supernatural S02 E08 – Here, doggy doggy

Greenwood, Mississippi, 1938. In a bar, Robert Johnson (well, an actor playing Robert Johnson, anyway) plays the blues and it's kind of awesome.
Everyone in the room is listening intently. He stops when he hears a dog barking, but no one else moves. It happens again, and he looks terrified, then runs from the room. Everyone else looks hella confused. He barricades himself in a house, hearing a dog barking and scraping outside the door. His friends break in and find him convulsing on the floor, mumbling about black dogs.

Supernatural S02 E01 – Is this responsible parenting?

We pick up where we left off last season, with the possessed truck driver getting out of his rig. He rips the door off the Bromobile, only to find Sam pointing the Colt at his junk. The demon scoffs that there’s only one bullet left and it's destined for the Yellow Eyed Demon. Sam has no fucks to give. The demon bails, leaving the truck driver to stare in horror at the three people he's nearly killed.
Cut to a helicopter landing some time later. The Winchesters are all rushed to the helicopter on stretchers. Sam demands information but the paramedics tell him to stay still. Cut to a hospital. A pyjama-clad Dean wakes up and gets out of bed. He calls out, but there's no answer.
