Geralt examines Ciri's room and has feelings about not having be let to protect her.
Outside of the ruins of Cintra, Geralt arrives at the camp where Ciri spent some time with Cintran refugees. There is a man there, hauling around the bodies. Geralt thinks he's a grave robber, but the man is actually just trying to give them proper burials.

I should've known this episode was called "Pilot." I feel like I tell you every time it comes up but it annoys me when pilots are titled Pilot.
But I'm starting off on a wrong foot. Hi, hello! Welcome to a new show because we are the little engine that could keep starting new shows when we have a billionty pending to finish. Hey, look y'all. We work with the recappers we got. And for this recap, we got Samantha (late of Supernatural but currently on Supergirl and Pretty Little Liars) and Dani (responsible for bringing us all the joy that is BrainDead).

We've been super inconsistent here and when that happens you can just blame it on me. This month in the ongoing saga of why my life is kind of chaotic, I started a brand new job after being out of the country for a couple of weeks. Also, though, reading this book is hard.
Kirsti: SO FREAKING HARD OH MY GOD.
Annie: I'm on week 3 of my 7 week vacation and I'm still finding it hard to read this book, so.

After a hundred thousand years of previouslies (M: One year for every current season of Supernatural...) (K: #accurate), we open in Bobby's hospital room. He's sitting in a wheelchair, staring sadly out the window. I find it hilarious that he's wearing a dressing gown and his trucker's cap. Sam watches from the doorway. Dean appears and says they have to cheer Bobby up. Sam says they need to prepare themselves for Bobby not bouncing back this time. Dean looks feelsy.
We start the episode right where the last one left off with Viserys Targaryen giving John Smith the ultimatum to either save Martha or Joan. John Smith is clearly at a loss, but in the background Latimer (baby Jojen Reed...) pulls out the Doctor's pocket watch. He opens it and we see some of that magic Timelord ejaculation float up from it and a voice whispers, "Time Lord." The aliens all freak out, giving Martha an opportunity to break out of alien!Jenny's grasp and grab the gun, like a total badass.
Fair warning: I think this is one of the weaker episodes of the series. What can you expect when they keep us at the Wall? THE WHOLE TIME? No amount of Jon Snow's shiny hair can salvage that.
Sweeney: I thought this would be a pretty universal opinion but I saw people on Twitter gushing about it. We've assembled a crowd that shares our love of the character-driven elements of the story so I don't think our opinion will be unpopular here, but it's weird. To that end, if you're the sort of person who digs military history and battle names and that kind of thing, then maybe this episode was your jam. For the rest of us...not so much.
Lor: We start with a sweeping view of Castle Black.
